Thanks for sharing @ashmere. Still so much that we're waiting to find out about but hopefully they'll be more forthcoming with some details over the next few months.

interesting thanks.
The bit I'm most concerned about is the unemployment insurance part. If it includes all the vulnerable people shunted onto NS ESA recently when being forced onto UC and previously not even knowing they had a CB element,it will be very dangerous and even if they are excluded it's an awful idea. I hope existing claimants would move without a time limitation etc.
I can't speak for others but I'm absolutely sick of being moved again and again from one thing to another.
hopefully the bottom part of the article happens, a massive reshuffle would be a great start to these nasty ideas all sinking.

It seems like the end goal is to save money. Doesn't make sense as the OBR report has been released and it says welfare spending is stable. It's not through the roof at all. It's just an excuse to inflict cruelty to vulnerable people.

Those getting both UC and NS ESA would be okay, as if the ESA ended they'd be on the same amount of money getting it all from UC instead.

fully agree @Ironside1990
Thanks @Kimi87 That's genuinely helpful and appreciated, I feel better now as I'm sure others will.

Don't forget those of us who, for one reason or another, are not eligible for UC.
I think the key words in this report are "Mired in uncertainty".

I'm well aware of those people, I was however responding to someone on both UC & NS ESA concerned about the change.
I maintain my previous view that those ineligible for UC have capital or a working partner to draw on, willingly or unwillingly.
