ACDF operation
I am currently waiting for an operation to remove a disc in my neck which is pressing on my spinal cord. The doctors say that it will not fix me but it will stop my condition from getting worse. I also suffer from severe foraminal stenosis in both my neck and lumbar region which will not be operated on. How can the doctors say my condition will not get worse when they are not operating on all of the damaged areas of my spine?

Hi @Jampa, that sounds a bit difficult. Maybe they mean the compression of your spinal cord at the point that they're operating won't get worse. But perhaps they aren't considering the impact of your other neck and spinal conditions. I'm sorry if I've misunderstood how your conditions affect each other.
Could you ask them about it when you get your operation date through?
