You can get a call from the DWP prior to a tribunal. They may have looked at your claim again and going to make an offer of an award.

Hi @Tbarber47 - the DWP do look at your claim again before a Tribunal & they may make an offer in your favour. You can accept any such offer if happy with it. If they do make an offer, then it can be because they think a Tribunal may offer a higher award/one of longer length, or both.
If the DWP make an offer before your Tribunal, you can accept this, then still appeal against what is in essence the DWP's revised decision & continue to appeal further with a Tribunal. A Tribunal would be unlikely to award less than the DWP have offered but they do look at your whole award again., so there is a slight risk. If the Tribunal think their decision would be less than what the DWP have offered, then they will give you the chance to not proceed further; i.e. you'd accept the DWP's offer together with their length of award.
You can also decline any offer the DWP make before a Tribunal in which case your appeal would just continue as normal.
You've been through a Tribunal before, but later thought your condition had worsened. I think it would be important now to consider did this mean you thought you could have increased your award due to this, & did your award change?
There's also no guarantee that the DWP will in fact make an offer after talking to you.
