Buying a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
Hi All.
Could anyone suggest a reliable and trustworthy company in the Manchester area that can sell us a wheelchair accessible vehicle?
Purchasing a car can be tricky for anyone but it's harder when you are in a wheelchair, don't have a car and can't get out and about to shop around.
A couple of recommendations would be a good starting point for me.
Thanks.

Hi, Assuming you want to buy and not use the Motability scheme.
Any of the WAV conversion companies will bring the WAV to you too try, they all have used vehicles for sale. Typically (perhaps all) will be ex Motability, so low mileage and should be regularly serviced. You could even speak to them about having the Converted components serviced regularly.
I personally use GM Coachwork, based in Devon, but I've also used Allied mobility, (I think in Coventry). But like I said they will bring the cars to you. If your buying I suspect that they may add an extra cost to get their driver back. But they will work with you to make sure its right for you.
You could contact a few of the Local garages, some will have a WAV's but the histories will be variable, and they may be cheaper.

Thanks very much. Knowing that bringing the car to me would be a normal part of the service is good to know. I have looked at Allied Mobility and will look again at them now.
Thanks for your advice. 👍
