My wife had a catastrophic brain injury and a ex lawyer has taken advantage of her to cheat her out of an inheritance..they offered her a small.loan when she wS desperate and being evicted on condition she sign over a large inheritance..its a discriminatory scheme so we need someone who can do discrimination action cases but not employment discrimination.

I am deeply sorry to learn about the distressing circumstances your wife is enduring. It is truly disheartening that she may have been exploited during a vulnerable period, which is both unethical and potentially unlawful. To find a highly qualified solicitor, utilise the Law Society's Find a Solicitor service. I recommend searching for solicitors with the following attributes; proven experience in handling discrimination cases involving vulnerable adults, comprehensive knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and its application to financial services and contracts, familiarity with the unique challenges presented by brain injury cases, a strong track record of success in similar cases, and a compassionate and sensitive approach to working with vulnerable clients.Once you have identified potential solicitors, I would advise arranging consultations to discuss your wife's case in detail. This will allow you to assess their suitability and ensure they fully understand the complexities of the situation. During these consultations, it is crucial to ask questions such as what experience they have with discrimination cases involving vulnerable adults, how they will approach the case and what strategies they will employ to pursue a discrimination claim, how they will ensure your wife's well-being and interests are protected throughout the process, and what their fees are and if there are any alternative fee structures available.By carefully considering these factors and engaging in thorough consultations, you will be well-equipped to select a solicitor who is best suited to represent your wife's interests and seek the justice she deserves.1 -

Many solicitors offer a free or discounted first meeting. Use this opportunity to find a solicitor who truly understands your needs. Don't be afraid to shop around until you find a solicitor you feel comfortable with, as you're under no obligation to use anyone's services even if the first consultation is free or at a reduced rate. I wish you and your wife all the best.
