@Paula10 The tribunal service and yourself will be sent a document pack from the DWP, if you have not already got it. The pack will contain your application form and evidence. The tribunal service will have the document pack present with them at your tribunal. You have yours. A tribunal is a lot better than the assessment, with professional people present that will listen to your struggles with your disabilities. One will be a Doctor. You will be asked questions about your struggles with your disabilities and you can refer to your document pack. May be worth reading through your document pack prior to remind you what you said since time has passed. Just keep calm and it will go well. If you win and the success rate at tribunals is high, you should be in for back payment. Best of luck!

Even though you may not have been happy with your assessment, just concentrate on this tribunal. Maybe worth having bullet points of your issues to remind you after reading through your document pack at home.

Hi @Paula10 - & welcome to the community. As far as your tribunal goes, when you receive your 'bundle,' which is all that you've sent the DWP about your claim so far, then please read through it to make sure nothing is missing.

A tribunal will consist of a judge, likely a Dr, & a person with an understanding about disability. A tribunal, altho it might sound a tad scary, is just there to gather more information about how your disability affects you. As such, you just need to answer their questions, & if you don't understand any, let them know. Take your time, & try to give as much detail as you can.

A tribunal is just there to decide if, 'on the balance of probabilities,' you have the difficulties you've described.

Many people find tribunals are so much easier than PIP assessments. Please have a tribunal in person, which may just be a video/phone call, as the success rate of these is way better.

You can have someone with you for support, tho you will be expected to answer.

Hope this helps, & do come back with any questions.
