    I'm so looking forward to my Chrimbo din dins tomorrow. I've got three joints, turkey, gammon, and beef, with pigs in blankets, pork and chestnut stuffing, duck fat roast spuds, honey roast parsnips and Bisto turkey gravy.

    That sounds quite a feast, Ross. I never bother making anything different to usual, but I am well stocked up on drink.

    I've just not long opened the Famille Perrin Châteauneuf-Du-Pape, and it is very pleasant indeed. The Châteauneuf-Du-Pape Les Courlandes wasn't as full bodied in my humble opinion, à votre santé!

    I don't own any Christmas decorations so i'm spared that decision.

    I am noticing more and more houses and flats without any decorations up.

    I suppose many singletons like me don't bother. I also remember when my maternal grandparents shocked us all by giving it up in their sheltered flat; the only concession being a holly wreath on the front door.
