Accessible gardening tips for beginners?

Hi, I've taken up pottering in the garden as a relaxing hobby, but with my balance issues, raised beds and tools with long handles are a game-changer. Any newbie advice or fun plant suggestions that are low-maintenance? Let's grow some chatter on this!

    Bulbs can be a nice easy thing to get started with. I've seen people do 'bulb lasagne' where you layer your bulbs in a planter so they come up at different times. The displays they've created have always looked bright and colourful ☺️

    Hi a lot depends on what you like bulbs are OK in pots for a pop of spring colour we only have a few daffs and fritillaria in the spring we much prefer to leave nature to its own in the winter and rest ready for the main plants there is a gardening thread here somewhere if you can find it

    That makes sense. Bulb-equipped pots are great for simple, low-maintenance coloring. I also think it's a good idea to keep things simple and let the garden rest over the winter. I'll look at that gardening thread as well.
