Have some notes with you to remind you of what you want to say about your disabilities and how they affect you.

Thanks, I will and hopefully it helps.

Update, I had my assessment but it did not go well. The person doing the assessment was going on my knee for most of the appointments but this was not the main reason I was claiming, so I got court out a bit, second I told her that I was fully dyslexic and have been diagnosed fully with dyslexia but she turned around and say so you are fully diagnosed with been dyslexic but have you been diagnosed with a learning difficulty, I sorry are they not supposed to no that dyslexic is part of the learning difficulty also I did tell her that dyslexic is a learning difficulty. Second half way through the phone started to have a delay and so when she asked a question, I answered and there was a delay over a few seconds so we were talking over one another so some of what I was saying, she did not get. So did not go way and I do not think I will pass.

Hi @jo1984, I'm sorry you feel it didn't go well. The delay sounds very frustrating which can't have been easy to deal with. Hopefully you'll be awarded, but if not, you can always appeal it. How are you feeling about it?

Thanks. I would have feel more confident if it was not for the delay, she was asking me questions and I was trying to answer but because of the delay she would start asking me something else so I was getting confused and started to mix up stuff so not good. I would have preferred a face to face appointment. I am 50/50 on it but I still not had any word on the report been sent to the DWP yet but she did say it can take her 2 weeks to finish the report and if she needs any more information she would call me back. I did feel very confused before the appointment because I have multiple things I was claiming on (chronic migraine, arthritis in my hands, learning difficulty, my knee and a private issue) but because of the delay and the confusion not so confused anymore.

It's tough trying to communicate multiple issues, but you've got through it, even with the awful delay. Hopefully it'll all be fine. Were you not offered a face-to-face appointment?

Yes tough but got thought it, and I have ADHD and trying to stay concentrated for over 2 hours was extremely difficult but got thought it.
No was not offended a face to face, I would have preferred because in these situations I think you can explain better than on a phone, for me anyway

Oh you did incredibly well then! I hope you're relaxing now.

Well got my fingers crossed but at least I no I can appeal if I do not get it.

@jo1984 hope your Assessment went better than you think it did and it probably has. You can ask for a copy of the Assessment Report when it is available.

Thanks, yes I will ring them up next week to get a copy, hopefully the person who did the assessment pass it over to the DWP soon. I think i am just a little worried because everyone else I spoke to who are on pip or had assesment, said there reports was sent the same day as the assessment or the next day and they said that there never had them say it could take 2 weeks and that they may have to call back to get more info so not sure what to think but hopefully be there soon and I can then ring up for a copy so I no where I stand.

The assessment providers do have an internal audit process to check the work of their assessors, this would delay the DWP receiving report and several forum members have experienced this.

Well I still not had any txt saying my report is back with PIP yet. I much be one of these time where I not going to getting text updates so may have to ring up to check if it has got there and ask for the report to be sent to me, I am sure I have not passing because of the disaster phone assessment but if I get it I can work on my mandatory reconsideration and than send it in straight away after getting the official decision from PIP.

I know it's difficult but try not to assume you won't be awarded. Things may be a bit slower because of Christmas and their offices may have only been fully staffed from this week.

Well I hope I get it but I think with the phone call been so bad because of the delay and me no been able to explain things correctly I not sure I will get it but I can hope.
I am thinking I will give it until tomorrow and just ring up, just to see if it as arrived, if not than at least I know if is not back yet and I can stop worrying about it.

Kimi87 is right, my PIP assessment got audited, for me the delay was about 2 weeks if I remember right, but that doesnt mean your delay will be 2 weeks.
I also dont think a complaint will have a bearing on the assessment.0 -
Update still my report has not been sent to PIP yet, over a month now and still nothing. I rang pip up last week and they said really it should have arrived by now but give it a bit longer and ring back, I forgot yesterday (Friday) but will ring back on Monday. Bit ridiculous now.

If PIP haven't yet received it, then it's the assessment provider you need to speak to at this stage.

Yes I also done this, I emailed last night so hopefully they answer on Monday.
Just very annoying, I was hoping that I would have accept to my report by now.

It's a very long time for you to have to wait.
