Savings
Hi Everyone
I have filled out the information on the update details form for DWP.
I have put the amount of savings as 1 figure and then realised on the change of circumstances page they asked about savings again and that they might have wanted this information of saving accounts separately? Do you think it will be ok to put just one figure of my savings. The form was confusing on the 1st page as they asked for savings on this page too.
Has this happened to anyone else when updating details form?
Not sure what to do?

Hi @Trufflecake. I'm not familiar with the form I'm afraid. Is the figure you've put down the total of all your savings?

yes, that is right

I can't see that being a problem then. It's your total savings that they want to know so it should be fine. Someone else who has filled one in might know a bit more but I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi Rachael
Sorry to be mentioning this again. I'm strssung out
I found the form very confusing. I think I messed up
On the form, I think I put my savings amount of less thank 6k down as my current account instead of listing individual saving accounts which still adds up to less than 6k. Should I put a note on my journal or doesn't it matter as long as the money doesn't go over 6k.

If it's under £6k then they really are not interested.

The only problem I can see with this is if or when they ask for a bank statement review in future. If the statements don't match the declaration then that could cause some confusion. Although as Kimi says, with your total savings being less than £6k, it won't make any difference to your payments.
