Not sure how much I could receive
I've had an autoimmune condition since before covid (although it was hard to get diagnosed and it took me until after covid to get a proper diagnosis). I've since been diagnosed with a type of blood cancer around 12 months ago.
I already get pip - this was so hard to get and the process is so draining.
I'm a healthcare worker and I have reduced my hours as much as I can afford to. Bills and debts still need to be paid despite how unwell I get.
I've been on a downward slope since my blood cancer has hit a tipping point, and I'm at the point where I don't know how long I can manage at work for. I feel like I'll wake up any day now and just not be able to do it anymore.
I've tried the calculators to see how much I could claim if I can't go to work anymore, but it just doesn't seem accurate that a human adult could survive off that kind of money.
I live with my parents in their own home (with a mortgage), one is retired and just before retirement started to get pip for mobility and the other is still half a decade away from being able to claim their pension. Except the pip and state pension, neither of them claim any other benefits for themselves or anyone else.
I've seen things like severe disability premiums and lcwra payments mentioned on the forum, but these don't seem to appear on the calculators and I don't know what they are.
Could someone do a help do a breakdown of everything I could be entitled to and clear up some of my confusion?
Thanks 🙂

With Universal Credit, the most you'd be entitled to is:
Standard Allowance £400.14
(everyone on UC gets this)
LCWRA element £217.26
£617.40 monthly.
SDP refers to the old income related benefits which have now been replaced by Universal Credit.
