Capita no assesment needed
Good afternoon all
I had a mini stroke last year diagnosed with epilepsy and also have a none cancerous tumour on my brain . I have been awarded LWRWA or whatever it's called for my UC. I also applied for PIP in sept.
My question is yesterday I was told by capita who do the assessments for PIP that a face to face or phone assessment won't be needed as they have enough info off my hospital recoreds. Can I assume the decision should be pretty soon in this case ?.
II apolgoose if my grammar isn't the best I now struggle with my reading writing and talking due to the stroke
Any guildnece on this would be fantastic.
Kind regards

Hi,
The assessor will have made their recommendation now.
The next step in the process is a Decision Maker checking the paperwork to see whether they agree with that recommendation. (They usually do). It could still take a few weeks for the Decision Maker to get to your case, depending on how many others they have to look through first.

JustJust a quick update my Neuro specialist at the QMC has just contacted me to say she's received a form to fill out from capita so I'm assuming it's going to take a lot longer than a couple of weeks now ?

You may find it a lot quicker than most when I had my strokes from start to finish it took 2 months as long as the doctor don't drag there heels good luck

My specialist said she will fill it out and get it sent back tomorrow for me . I applied on the 17thsept so it's been nearly 4 months already . Hoping for a decision in the next month or so . My Lwcwra took 2 months with no assessment aswel.
