New password demand

Today I was invited to join a coffee lounge here.

I attempted to do so and was told I must add a new password.

I established that special characters aren't allowed in that password, then tried all sorts of other passwords without them.

None of them were acceptable.

Is there a problem?

I don't want to change my password.

Hi @Littlefatfriend, can you tell me where you were prompted to change your password? Did it happen when you tried to sign in?

There shouldn't be anything asking you to change your password, so I'm curious where and how that would have happened!

As I wrote above, when I clicked from the email and tried to join the coffee club it repeatedly insisted I must change my password.

I tried, and it wouldn't accept any of them.

I then checked I was signed in, and I was.

I have to say I had a similar email but I deleted it
