Today is Penguin Awareness Day as it coincides with the Antarctic summer, but they are also found in South America, Australia, New Zealsnd & South Africa as well as the Falkland Islands. The Galapagos penguin is named after where it is found in the Galapagos Islands on the Equator, so they are the most northerly penguins & the only tropical penguin.

    I think penguins are fantastic creatures

    They are one of natures wonders

    They are very hardy but they are truly wonderful

    I love them so much

    And this explains why yesterday my social media feeds were filled with penguins! I saw so many little videos of them running and it's just so cute! Penguins really cheer me up ๐Ÿงโค๏ธ

    Yay penguins! This topic made me re-read Away with the Penguins by Hazel Prior and the 2nd installment in this series about Veronica McCreedy. There is also a third book, but haven't got that one (yet perhaps).
