Hello people this is me, Si. I have spina bifida and chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Also just about to get an autistic/ADHD assessment. I have good days and bad days. I'm very grateful for the good days. Looking to try and make some contacts with people in Oxfordshire or online who understand what living with chronic pain and mobility issues at times is like.

I'm into gaming so anyone that is looking for an online gaming friend please raise your hand!

If anyone is interested in getting in touch please do!

No, @TripToo, there are no official meetings from this forum, more's the pity.

At least there are gamers around these here parts.

Hi @TripToo and welcome to the community! Unfortunately we don't offer in-person meet-ups. As Chris said, there are gamers here and lots of people who are up for a chat!

What kind of games are you in to?

Thank you for the responses. Shame about no meet ups but I guess that's a lot of planning etc.

But great to hear there are other gamers. Tbh I've mostly been playing FPS type games, Fortnite, call of duty that kind of thing. But open to any suggestions.

Do you game Chris? In fact have I missed a dedicated gaming forum on here?

How's your week been so far?

Oh, is there a scope app for this forum? I did have a look and couldn't see anything.

Do I just need to come back and check for responses every now and again on here? Can you get notifications for replies?

We don't have an app but you can get notifications from us via email if you go onto your profile and notification settings.

You could start your own post about gaming if you like! Then you can find out what everyone is playing.

I find fast paced games better for distracting me from my pain. So FPS games are usually my go to. I love the idea of RPG games but I don't find them absorbing enough to distract me.

I have 2 consoles and a computer, I haven't looked at any of them in months. You would laugh if you saw them, they are not exactly modern.

All right then, the computer in question is a ZX Spectrum +2, and i have just realised it is now 40 years old! It was the first to be made after Alan Sugar's Amstrad bought out Clive Sinclair in 1986. It is quite remarkable that the cassette tapes still load.

My two consoles are both Sega, a Master System and a Mega Drive. I dig them out every once in a while. I wonder if they will still be operational after I cease to be? 🤔

@Chris75_ Oh the Sega Mega drive was my first console. Had some great games.

I still occasionally play James Pond 2 and Golden Axe. On the Master System (my favourite 8 bit console), i play Wonder Boy.

On the ZX Spectrum, I love Manic Miner and The New Zealand Story. ( Both ends of the 1980s).
