Does anyone know where you can buy/download or get sight of a technical manual for a Greenpower Unique 500?

Thanks

Many thanks. I'm really looking for a Haynes Manual sort of publication - but these are a step in the right direction! Thanks again.

Green Power do not make the workshop manuals available to customers, they prefer to sell the parts to you then charge about 130 quid to come and fit it for you. it is a huge con. I am not sure of the legality of this, but it is immoral. I am working on removing the panels and I will post results when I have been successful.

I did call out a local company but as soon as he saw it was green power he refused to work on it.

It is basically protectionism. Green power do not sell parts to other businesses or individuals so it is impossible for other businesses or individuals to carry out repairs on any Green power scooters. I have spoken to them about this. They claim it is legal but I'm not sure though, I thought we had a right to repair and these policies interfere with that. They also feel that it is not immoral to take advantage of the elderly or infirm in this way.

Don't buy scooters from green power!

Just had a look at Greenpower Unique 500 and would definitely NOT buy one

To start with - they are not lithium battery powered - they rely on an old fashioned Lead-acid battery - then there's the claimed range of 45 miles - on a 20AH battery - sorry, this is just not happening……. especially at 8mph !

My old mobility scooter has a 24AH Lead acid battery and reaches 4 miles at a push and the whole thing is much lighter than a "Unique 500".

This is definitely a case of "buyer beware"

Exactly - and the Unique 500 claims to be able to travel 45 miles on 1/8th of your class 3's capacity !! Utterly impossible

Anybody with a Greenpower refute this ?

Actually, Chris, it's just a bit under 28 miles.

They do claim 45 MILES or 72km

    500 watts @ 24v - 20 amps

but the battery is rated at 20Ah - Which means that it can supply 20 amps for 1 hour

    At 8mph - that's 8 miles range
