I get the impression that not only am I abused but even NHS workers get abused by rough people and the far left Is that true?

Isnt that insane to abuse an NHS worker ?

What drives these guys to do what seems like the worst possible social move you can possibly make?

I don't understand what you mean, I imagine (sadly) NHS workers get abused by people from all walks of life, and all political viewpoints!

It's ridiculous that it happens to anyway, let alone people who are working to help!

I remember a news article once about people calling emergency services to have them arrive so they could throw things at their cars/fire engines etc. I don't understand it at all

Any time I'm in hospital or any medical setting I'm always so sad to see the 'we don't tolerate abuse' signs, because it means there has been a need for them!!

I don't think it's just England tbh. I don't have a dentist, as he went home to the Netherlands saying he didn't feel valued anymore.

I don't understand it either @Georgina76576!! It makes no sense to me at all as they are people who just want to help you!

I don't see why anyone should be above abuse because of the job they do. What happened to us all being equal? Is it more acceptable to abuse someone doing a different job? Personally I don't believe that anyone should be subject to abuse, regardless of their job!

They should be banned from receiving treatment if they abuse the staff.

It must be awful to be in a job where you want to help people and you get abuse in return.

I think there is a growing sense of stress, fear and anger in the country as a whole for many reasons. People are often feeling helpless and have to jump through so many hoops to get support. This by no means excuses abusive behaviour, but it's a possible reason of the rise in it. It's such a shame.

Mainly because if you are having anything to do with someone in that profession they are there helping with/because of health problems, they have to have contact when trying to triage & treat. They should not be abused at all & anyone that chooses to abuse should be ejected & not treated. Strangely though, that doesn't happen, as they have to treat the person no matter what.

Personally, I don't believe anyone should be subject to abuse, but those that are working to help people with injury or illness are top of my list for zero abuse.
