National Chocolate Cake Day 🤭🍫

Today is National Chocolate Cake Day which sounds delicious and a perfect reason to have a slice of cake this evening!!

So, I have a few very important cake related questions to celebrate this day..

  • The Temperature
    Do you prefer it fridge cold, room temperature or warmed up in the microwave?

  • The Combo
    Chocolate orange, chocolate mint or just pure cocoa?


  • The Side 
    Is it custard, cream, or does it have to stand alone?

I prefer the cake cold or room temperature, chocolate mint is my favourite flavour and also stand alone but I am partial to be a bit of cream if it’s a warm chocolate fudge cake situation!

    Ok this is just cruel @Mary_Scope, I'm trying to eat more healthily and you put up a picture of a delicious chocolate cake! To answer your question though, a warm, chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream. Now I'm hungry.

    I think a slice of warm chocolate orange sponge in a bucket of cream will do nicely this evening

    That cake in the picture just looks so good!!! chocolate cake is my favourite but I prefer it as plain as possible!!

    You've got the right idea @PixelMist, cake for starter, main and dessert please!

    Has anyone baked a cake before? Any disasters? I used to make a chocolate cake with fudge sweets stuffed in and it was amazing. I haven't baked for quite a while but I'm wondering if I should try it again.
