Bank statements
Hi can someone enlighten me about if the DWP request bank statements does it only have to be the statement balance or is it transactions i am on ADB and universal credit LWCRA all my statements are cash only withdrawels at link machines there is no money going in except for the ADB and universal credit i dont have any savings and my account is below £6000.00 which is allowed

It has to be full monthly statements, with your name & address on.

what do you mean full monthly statements can you explain does this mean all transactions ?

Yes it means the statements you get (usually monthly) containing your name & address, opening & closing balances, which show all your transactions.

Yes it has to show all transactions. Just been through this and they actually queried a couple of payments as they were from my disabled son to me, however they were repaying me for a couple of things I had bought for him and DWP accepted that. They did not ask for receipts or any further details. I guess it will be them checking that he's not trying to "hide" money by giving it to family members.
