New Style ESA & Accrued Holiday Pay
Hello, I’m posting here because I called ESA and the agent didn’t know. They said they’d get someone to call me back but didn’t.
I have been off sick from my job for many months and started claiming ESA when my SSP ran out. During my time off I have been accruing annual leave which my employer is looking to pay out to me.
How is this going to impact my ESA?
I read that holiday pay is counted as earnings unless it is paid 4+ weeks after employment was terminated or interrupted. I am still employed, although I have not been actively working, so I don’t know if this counts as interrupted or not.

Hi @discomoe this holiday pay shouldn't impact your claim if the entitlement relates to the period before your ESA claim has started.

Thank you @Holly_Scope. It’s so difficult to find info on this, and ESA don’t see to have answers when you ring them.
