Would like to chat

hi I’m willow.
I’m new to the community and I would love to chat and make friends.i do feel lonely at times. i have cauda equine syndrome ( spinal cord injury). I was diagnosed 10 years ago after a fall . I’m a wheelchair user I struggle with sleep due to pain so i don’t sleep much .It would be nice just to meet different people and chat .

    Hi it can be very lonley i understand i to am a wheelchair bound and days can be very lonley i recently lost my mum at christmas and i am looking for friends too

    hello smellybin , nice to meet you to. Thank you for taking the time to send me a message. Yes the loneliness i think is worse than the condition. I try to keep my mind busy and mood positive. It’s good that you can talk about anything on here . I’m having a really good day today, up bright an early and music on . How are you doing today?

    Thanks for taking the time to respond. I would like to chat as it’s hard to make friends especially when life changes I’m really sorry to hear you recently lost your mum , that’s very sad .
    how are you today hope your doing okay ?

    Hello @willow75 Welcome to the community. I'm only an ambulatory wheelchair user but definitely can relate to the not sleeping part!

    Yeah, everything about the mental part of being ill is for me way more difficult to deal with, than the symptoms - and even those aren't easy :)

    Glad you had a proper day, we need those highlights to keep us going. And even though I definitely agree with trying to be positive, the sadness is also part of life so I try to give into that as well. There is no day without a bit of both.

    This morning I was glad to hear the birds singing, will Spring be here soon?
