Just getting a bit ahead of myself as I'm in review for pip now, so if I lose pip due to the review not being in my favour and am doing an MR am I right in saying I need to inform UC ?

I Know I told esa when I lost pip twice before and my money dropped dramatically. Until I got pip back after two Tribunals.

I get transitional protection BTW incase that makes a difference.

    UC is very different to legacy benefits when it comes to PIP, as no disability premiums are paid.

    If you claim Housing Element and any of the following apply then yes you need to inform UC:

    You live with other adults - your PIP prevents a non dependant deduction being made.

    You have a spare bedroom being paid for by UC due to a need for regular overnight care - your PIP is the qualifying benefit that allows that bedroom to be paid for.

    Otherwise losing your PIP won't impact any of your UC award and you don't need to tell them.

    @Kimi87 I live alone, I'm in N.I

    I Get my spare bedroom paid for me by Department for communities. I'm in the LCWRA group. Yes,i claim housing element. So I'd need to inform them re housing element then. Thank you.

    No as UC don't pay for your spare bedroom, you do not need to inform UC if you lose your PIP.

    Losing your PIP won't impact on your Housing Element because you don't meet either of the two conditions I advised on.
