council is telling us that we must pay them 220 pounds monthly.
My husband and I have been privately renting a house for 16 years. We pay 850 pounds a month to our landlord. We also pay the council for removing household refuse and garden waste. Now the council is telling us that we must pay them 220 pounds monthly. I am retired and only have a low pension. My husband is self employed and his income can vary. Can anyone advise if we must pay the council monthly?

Why do you have to pay the council for removing household refuge and garden waste?
