Thanks guys,i am proper chuffed with myself ๐
I have given up a lot of fatty foods and ready meals and started eating more healthy food including slimming world meals, veg and fruit.
I also used to drink a lot of strongbow cider cans at home and never did any form of exercise whatsoever!
All that changed on the 3rd of January when I stripped off for a shower and thought to myself, a 9 month pregnant woman looks slimmer than me๐
So along with giving up the cider and changing what and when I eat I started walking for exercise, starting off with 10/15 mins working up to half hour (1 mile ish a day), I now walk upto 5 miles a day and sometimes more depending on what my body thinks.๐

That's amazing @onmylonesome! You must be very disciplined to stick to all of that. I also need to start doing a bit of exercise but can't get motivated. I have no excuse either because I have a treadmill! It's very hilly where I live so a treadmill is easier on my body. Any tips for getting that starting motivation?

Well done @onmylonesome
I know the challenge having been through it myself.
It's quite amazing how much cutting down on the alcohol helps with weight, too! Alcohol is like a double whammy for weight gain, because it has lots of calories but also lowers your threshold for giving into temptation i.e. snacksโฆ so cutting down is really a twofold great thing to achieve

I was a 36" waist for years and ended up a 38"waist having to buy jeans that had some stretch in the waist also after piling the weight on.
This morning I went to Primark to try some 36 waist jeans on out of curiosity, they fitted perfectly! ๐
I also had to buy XL shirts/jumpers and jackets, after trying t shirts jumpers and jackets on while in Primark I came home with,2 pairs of jeans,4 t shirts and 2 jackets all size L!!!!
I was like a kid in a toy shop๐คฃ
Also came home with a empty wallet but I don't care ๐

I absolutely know the feeling when you go down waist sizes
It feels brilliant having to buy smaller clothes
Very different to having to buy bigger ones ๐

Well done @onmylonesome you have done so well. Smaller size clothes show how much work and effort you have put in.
Take care.

I did 3 miles on the treadmill at 4mph = knackered ๐ฉ
Good job it's next to my bed so I can stumble off it and collapse on the bed! ๐คฃ

This is amazing, well done @onmylonesome
How are you finding your treadmill?
I'm also on a weight loss journey. It was soooo much easier when I was well and was dancing 5-6 hours 4/5 days per week (I studied dance at college), then usually had a good 20/30 minutes walk to get home.
I'm in my second week now, so hoping I've dropped a good few lbs at least!
