Hi everyone my username is Merebel. I have chairi malformation type1 with syrinx and other health issues. I've had two decompression surgeries on my brain and shunts put in my spine. I also have left side weakness.

I am a wheelchair user who is looking to meet other wheelchair/powerchair/scooter users to explore London and all of it's hidden gems. I'm based in Brixton so would love to meet others nearby. There is so much in London to see so lets go on some adventures and have fun. Afterall life is too short.

Hello @MeRebel and a warm welcome to the community, it’s great to have you with us! 🙂

Thank you for sharing a little about yourself. I’m not sure if any of our members are based in Brixton specifically, but there are certainly quite a few of us around London. While we don’t arrange in-person meetups and keep interactions within the online community, I’m sure you’ll still make some great friends here.

What are some of your favourite places in London?

Babes you are not missing much at all. Several parts of Brixton are gentrified, lots of eating and drinking places if that appeals to people. There are however nice normal parts around

    Welcome to the community @MeRebel!

You might like to look into Sociability - they have an accessibility app but also a community with groups of people who go on trips together to map accessible places. I wonder if that might be a way to meet some other Londoners and get out and about? Could be worth a look anyway ☺️ https://www.sociability.app/
