Hi everybody.

Has anyone else got scoliosis?

And have you had any other problems with your lower back?

I've had sciatica twice.

Hi @quinceorange24. I've had problems with my lower back since I was a teenager. I've been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia but I'm not convinced they're connected. I must admit though, I'm not very good at keeping up with physio exercises. How are you managing?

Hi, I'm waiting to hear from a physio so hopefully they can help.

But I'm not sure if it's sciatica because I've got another problem with my left leg.

    I hope your alright.

Hi @quinceorange24, apologies for my late reply. Do you know how long the wait is to see the physio?

Thank you 😊 I'm ok if I don't walk too much but I'd like to do more. I think I should look up some exercises for lower back pain and actually do them!

    Hiya @quinceorange24

I have sciatic nerve pain both sides, not from scoliosis though, it was from an accident. First spinal fusion collapsed, second op to clean up & stabilise failed, third fusion grafts failed too. From that I have constant pain in my back & down my legs, which is sciatica. I went through physio & hydrotherapy but I was struck off, as they were making it worse. 😆

Hopefully you'll hear from a physio soon & they can assess then help with exercises. One other thing they tried with me was akin to a tens machine (I was given one of them too, no good) their's was a large machine, so more powerful, it was no help. But there's that you could try or ask about as some find the small ones do help. Good luck & I hope you hear soon & they find something to help you out.

I've had back problems all my life due to Dyspraxia, when I was born nearly 50 years ago they said I was a "floppy" baby.
