    I’m watching the new series too. It’s not quite a classic period drama, but it’s very entertaining, nice and light, which is just what I like.

    I have watched the first three seasons and plan to watch the new one but haven't started it yet. I really enjoyed the first ones. I agree @MW123, it's not too serious, I like that it is a bit different, especially the soundtrack with modern music made classical.

    Hi @Emilee, I’m the same. I loved the first three seasons. The modern songs played in that classical style completely caught me off guard at first. I was sat there thinking, “I know this, why can’t I place it?” Then the penny dropped that they were reinterpretations of modern songs. I also really enjoyed the Queen Charlotte spin off series.

    Queen Charlotte has a really similar feel, but it definitely goes a bit deeper emotionally. It follows the young Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury, and you really see how their friendship begins and how the whole Bridgerton world starts to take shape.

    The writers have said they’ll be dropping little hints next season.  The novels never had another Lady Whistledown after Penelope was revealed, so this whole mystery is something the show has created from scratch. I keep looking at all the women as suspects, but it could just as easily be a man this time.
