UC are stopping payments until the "Further Capital Review" is completed.
Is this normal? Seems a little harsh.
I'm waiting for my bank to provide me with a letter confirming that my savings account was closed. I spent an hour on the phone to my bank to get this sorted and they didn't seem certain on how they were going to fulfil my request. In which case it may never turn up. I got the impression they were fobbing me off. I'm with Lloyds.
Stopping my payments makes me wonder if there isn't more to it. For the last review, they confirmed they wouldn't be stopping my payments.
Thanks in advance for any advice on this.

The Bank either can't or won't do anything, contact the Benefits Office.

Hi @OliverLoving
This sounds really stressful, like Sheffieldman suggested it sounds like it may be best to contact the Universal Credit directly about this. Hope it gets sorted soon!1 -
Thanks for the replies. The UC advisor told me that my payments would stop until the review was complete after I told her I was waiting for the letter from the bank. So, they already know my situation.
