UC claim review Follow up call
apologies if this has been discussed before but can’t find anything ! I had a UC review for both myself and my husband as I am his appointee , sent the four months bank statements in and ID and now have another two calls to contend with as they wish to discuss a document I sent him which I presume is the bank statements .
THere is nothing untoward on them but just realised that as we had a couple of work related charitable grants come in which amounted to £1100 that these should have been logged in the journal. I was told through the charity that these would not affect benefits . Also son has been helping financially so there are some transactions from him but neither my husband and I have been working so I can’t see any reason why they would want to stop the benefits but still worried nonetheless !! We don’t have any savings either.
Would be grateful of some thoughts . Thank you

Standard procedure is a telephone interview after the documents are submitted.
They'll run through a series of scripted questions asking about any property, premium bonds, undeclared accounts etc.
Then they'll ask any specific questions they have about particular transactions.
Just be honest in your answers.
If your capital never went over £6k then most likely you'll be absolutely fine.

I went through one of these reviews in 2023, I know how horrible they are.

I just hope they are not that often! I am quite a strong person having had to become my husbands full time carer two years ago after he had a horrific motorbike accident and have had to navigate my way around everything (much of that thanks to Scope) but this is just exhausting knowing how evasive it is and the worry that they could stop the benefits - not that they would have reason too but it doesn’t help when you are dealing with daily troubles as everyone is on here ! But it is what it is ! Thanks again @Kimi87
