Hi, My daughter is nearly 18 she has a learning disability, in full time non advanced education (foundation learning) she also has a ehcp. She gets enhanced Pip for both daily living and mobility. I am her carer and her appointee for Pip, she will be staying in education for at least another 3 years. What benefits will she be entitled to when she turns 19?

    Hi

    Welcome to the community.

Welfare benefits are currently under review and changes will be made but we have to await official announcements regarding that, and we may have a change of government with their own different policies in 3 years time.

Disability & study can be a complex area to give advice on, I'd recommend contacting Disability Rights UK who have a Disabled Students Helpline.

Hi @lmoulton85 and a warm welcome to the community from me!

It's definitely best to contact Disabled Students Helpline about this as like Kimi said education and disability and benefits can be a really complex, specialist area.

It's lovely to have you here and I hope you enjoy your time on the community!

If Reform UK ever gets in, kiss goodbye to her rights and probably benefits in general.

They want to repeal the ECHR AND the Equality Act.
