I am a new member and wondered if anyone is involved in the Timms Review into PIP?

Hi @warby54, welcome to the community. Are you looking for people who are in the Steering Group for the Timms Review? The last thing I heard about it was that people were being appointed to the group quite recently. I'm not sure how much they'd be able to say about it but it would be interesting to hear!

Hope you'll enjoy being part of the community ☺️

    Hi

Thanks for your reply. Yes I would like to get in touch with anyone who is on the Steering Group for the Timms Review - do you know anyone on it?

Hi @warby54 and a warm welcome to the community from me!

The co-chairs for the group are Sir Stephen Timms, Dr Clenton Farquharson CBE and  Sharon Brennan. I'm not sure if we will find out the people in the steering group as they will be disabled people, carers and charity representatives.

Thank you for your reply. I am aware of the co-chairs of the Timms Review, its terms of reference etc. I believe there are going to be contributions from a number of organisations with named individuals and I am trying to find out if anyone from our organisation is one of these people. Does anyone know and if so I’d really appreciate their contact details? Many thanks in anticipation.

    Hi

The 12 Steering Group members for the Timms Review have been published, and I have now discovered that there is also a collective group of charities (I can't remember their name, which is frustrating - anyone know?) whose views are being sought with regard to their client group members. This latter group comprises a large range of constituent charities, and Scope is included. I think that the group is chaired by someone from the MS Society, and this chap is I believe feeding back to the Steering Group. Does anyone know who represents Scope on this latter group please?
