I have just spent a week filling in my pip review it was very late getting to me.

I really want to know the safest way to send it back as it needs to be there by 2nd April and I will be sending it Thursday 19th March. I have always sent forms recorded special delivery but am getting differing advice on this.

Very stressed sorry

    Hi

I don't know about the safest way but the quickest way is next day special delivery.

Hi @lizptsd - please do whatever you feel most comfortable with in posting back your PIP review form. However, all you need is to ask for a free 'Certificate/proof of posting' from your Post Office. You then get a printed receipt which proves the date you posted it off.

All mail to the DWP just goes to a Royal Mail Sorting Office, &, if you use a signed for service, is just signed for in bulk, rather than individually. It then gets sent on to the DWP, & this can take a little time.

Mail is very, very rarely lost, & whatever service you use will likely arrive at the Royal Mail Sorting Office at a similar time, so there's little advantage in paying extra (& you're allowing ample time too).

That said, it's always worth keeping a copy of your form 'just in case.' Hoping your review goes well.

I have only ever used proof of postage and I never encountered a problem.

Just remember that Thurs 2nd Apr is Maundy Thurs (civil service will start closing down for Easter after lunchtime), Fri 3rd is Good Friday (a Bank Holiday) and Mon 6th is the Easter Bank Holiday, so the offices will be closed for 4 days for the long weekend - that will add to any possible delay, and to be honest they won't be looking at it until Tues 7th in reality. Sorry not trying to make you more stressed. Good luck - I know just how much stress you are under. Will keep everything crossed for you.
