PIP
hello everyone, could someone please help me understand PIP process. I’ve applied for PIP few months ago due to deteriorating health condition. had a telephone assessment few weeks ago and this morning received a Call From DWP just asking if there’s been any changes to my medications, have I seen GP since the assessment and if I believe my assessor was fair and reasonable on the phone assessment and that’s it . I’m aware that most people get txt messages as updates however I’ve never received a txt from pip with any updates or anything to say that DWP received the report from assessment. My question is what is current happening with my claim, why such a short follow up call from DWP , thank you in advance 😊

Good afternoon and welcome to the community @cass15.
It sounds like you may have had a call from a decision maker checking the information they’ve received, but unfortunately there’s no way for us to know for certain. Sometimes they call to clarify details or see how you’re doing.
Not everyone receives text messages to say their assessment report has been received, but if you give DWP a call they should be able to confirm this for you. You can also ask for a copy of the report if you’d like one.
I know the waiting can be stressful, so I hope you don’t have to wait too long for your outcome. Please do let us know how you get on.
