Hi, my name is Pauline111! Using a mobility scooter in shops
Hi I only had a mobility foldable for a few weeks. Im sceptical of using it in shops. Are they allowed as the first time I will take itv n shops next week as I have mobility issues and cannot stand for longer periods of times. Thanks.

Hi, and you absolutely can take it onto shops. I go into shops in a powerchair and or my massive class 3 scooter. Nobody has the heart to say anything, lol. πΉ

HI @Pauline111 and a warm welcome to the community from me!
It's lovely to have you here and I hope you enjoy your time on the communityπ0 -
I went on my mobility scooter for the first time in town especially with my carer by my side. I felt comfortable knowing I did it π Everyone was helpful and supportive. It was Samaratons that told me about your site π

This reminded me of this video, but in all truth look how surprisingly well how 3 jokers get on with inappropriate tools & no experience and know you will be nowhere near that in terms of amount of issues found

just make sure before reversing to look behind you to see if anyone is behind you, i nearly got hit by someone in a electric scooter because they didn't check behind them they other day, i did tell them what i thought of that

Course you can, if you go to the big shopping centres, such as Meadowhall in Sheffield or the White Rose in Leeds for example, there's usually a Shopmobility stall where you can hire one.
