how do you apply to jobs quickly when you need ppl to check everything?
anyone else have this issue with job applications where you feel you need somebody else to check everything you send to employers to ensure they're correct, or what they're looking for?
I simply have no confidence or faith in myself to do job appliations "correctly", because every job recruiter's expectations is far too unpredictable and subjective. All this is exacerbated by my rejection sensitive dysphoria and childhood trauma triggers, which is dysregulating my nervous system, meaning i'm struggling to get anything work relarted done.
It's exacerbating my job search depression and fears that even if I do get a job, I'll lose it within weeks thanks to discrimination, so it's not worth even trying to work.
Given i'm constantly living under minority stressed caused by politicians treating human lives as expendable in the names of capitalism and fascism, and more recently AI and Trump's invasion of Iran, proudly enabled by Starmer despite his public lies. giving up and signing off as unfit is no an option, especially as i know how capable I am in the right environment.
Even though I need to work, so i can leave the UK, which will cure my chronic low-level suicidal ideation (i don't intend to do anything, but will not so long as leaving the country is still possible for me, i don't need help nor will respond to a **** template welfare email, I'm literally stating it to preempt the suggestion of signing off pernamently, as that will worsen this).
I also fear that given the current fast paced, employer-centric, relationship-based nature of the job market, especially in 2026, my old strategy of getting feedback before sending applications is no longer viable.
Everything moves too quickly, and my confidence looking for jobs is so brittle that every day looking for work is a struggle. I'm so burnt out from functional long-term unemployment, and i can't spend several hours on one job application i will never hear back from. it's a complete waste of time.
and where do i even get reliable support for this? i need weekly appointments at least, and any cancellation completely throws me off balance (as I've recently dealt with in support to work)

@Stellar, I second guess most things I do as well, I re-read work emails and even texts multiple times before I feel ready to send them. I’m fortunate that I’m currently employed, as I do think it’s become incredibly difficult to apply for jobs, especially now with employers using AI to scan applications and job seekers using AI too.
I know it’s hard, but I think at some point “good enough” really does have to be enough. Most employers are scanning applications quickly, not analysing every word the way it can feel like they are.
It’s been quite a few years since I was job hunting, but I got to a point where I realised that instead of checking and re-checking or having everything edited, it made more sense to just apply as I am. That way the wrong employer won't end up hiring me and the right role will find me.
If you do feel like you need someone to look things over, is there a friend or family member who could help? It doesn’t have to be perfect, even a second set of eyes can help build confidence.
The job market is tough, and even more so when you’re sensitive to rejection, so I really do wish you all the best with your search.

Thanks for your comment.
I need more targeted, professional support to check all my applications, as if i use friends or family, they cant reliably show up because they have their own stuff going on.
As for being "good eonugh," my brain turns to mush due to all the thoughts racing around my head i find it almost impossible to get anything done. it tkes me hours to modify one cover letter template. in a job market that requires 100s of applications to get an interview, that's simply not sustainable.
If it wasnt for AI helping me provide a template i wouldnt be able to apply for anything for all.

unless i get a referral or can bypass this application stage entirely, i'm pretty certain I will never work a job again.

i'm glad you have a job. if its not toxic hold onto it for as long as you can, you very likely will not get another job for years.

Up to about 2 and half years ago I had an OKish job, I just lost it because the manager was a complete idiot, and she set me some none task, which I sort of misunderstood and she fired me for it, it was a remote online job as an "Expert by Experience" for Choice Support UK, the original job description was helping CQC (Care Quality Commission) Inspectors with Care Home inspections in the UK, but due to COVID restrictions and an apparent lack of demand for the service it never happened and probably still doesn't.

If you're using AI for the initial template, you could use it for the whole thing. Put in your CV and the job description and ask it to tweak your CV in line with the job description.
