What annoys you now that never used to?
@Rosie_Scope and I were just chatting about how we're getting older and what things bother us now.
For me, it's how loud music is in shops. I remember my grandma actually asking a girl in a shoe shop why the music was so loud and I was so embarassed, but I get it now!

It'll be 30 years in June since I passed GCSE English Language and Literature with an A grade, and ever since, I've become a total Grammar Nazi, I regularly see posts online on various fora, including on here, with the spelling/grammar of a dyslexic 4 year old and it REALLY grinds my stick! I sympathise that some people can't help it though.

Also, self service machines in Supermarkets! Why?! In theory they're supposed to be quicker than being served by humans on the Checkout, but when I'm buying age rated stuff such as Alcohol or certain magazines, I have to flag down a human to verify my age (I wouldn't mind but I'm 50 next month!) which negates the whole point of SELF service!

People…

People shouting on mobile phones and using mobile phones/devices at meal tables, and not having any conversation with each other or even looking at the food they are trying to eat whilst being obsessed with gadgets.

When I was in Memphis, Tennessee in 2001 I was refused buying cigarettes and had to go back to my hotel for passport/ID. I was a bit miffed but tbh, got over it quite quickly as in my late 30's and a teeny size 6-8, I was quite flattered. Not sure I'd get refused now but I don't smoke now so can't test it 🤣🤣😂🤣😂.

People who can't even cross a road without staring at their phone! I wouldn't normally wish harm to anyone but it's like these people are ASKING to get knocked down or worse IMO.

I'm the same with grammar, but mellowed a bit when it comes to people who speak English as a second language. They probably write English a hundred times better than I can write in whatever their native language is!!!
My grandmother had a nice way of discriminating when it came to literacy skills… a tradesman or shop assistant would be forgiven but a lawyer or barrister and she would lay well into them. She had to work with a lot of people who had been to all sorts of prestigious schools and couldn't understand how somebody could graduate from Eton or somewhere yet write like a twelve year old

People knocking on my door or stopping me on the street trying to sell me something or trying to get me to sign up for something. I think in the beginning many years ago it didn't annoy me too much, but now it really bothers me.

The constant pro-Reform UK footage on my YouTube feed is seriously doing my head in.
I already know that I'd sooner spoil my Ballot than vote for them.
Rumour has it Nigel Farrightage doesn't even WANT to be Prime Minister because he'd have to actually TURN UP and do some work.

If you click on the three dots next to the unwanted video you can click on 'not interested' or 'don't recommend channel', this should make the videos you dislike come up less.
