Hi All I am new to this.

I am currently awaiting my Tribunal decision my Tribunal was on Thursday 19th March 2026.

I had been waiting since my review October 2024 where I informed the of a change of circumstances. I have Fybromyalgia (2018) previously I had to appeal my very first claim as I had scored 0 on everything. I went to Tribunal and was awarded 14 points enhanced daily living and 8 points Standard Mobility.

I was over the moon and very greatful.

So now fast forward I am appealing the Mobility component as I was awarded the same as before 14 Daily living and 8 Mobility.

Since my review (June 2024) I was off sick July to November 2024 then I've had to leave work Nov 2024 due to reduced mobility and severe anxiety which is now agraphobia.

I continued to send all evidence while awaiting my Tribunal after the DWP awarded me the same as before Feb 2025 only acknowledging my changes in circumstances and extended my award by another year?

I was told only some evidence could be used and all information after Feb 2025 to March 2026 could not be used by the Tribunal...

After speaking to the 3 on the panel I explained as much as I could but couldn't remember alot due to how long ago it was..I also suffer really bad brain fog.

I did feel interegated lots of questions asking me about things from October 2024.

My daughter was my representative and she did step in as I got really emotional opening up and going through this.

IIn my mind I am entitled to the extra 4 points so I can have enhanced mobility so I can join the motorbility scheme.

They asked me about my dog I registered as an emotional Support Animal and explained what it would mean to be able to gain some independence if I won this Tribunal. I am nervously waiting for the letter which i received a message today that said it should be arriving by Friday 27th March.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Will I have to reapply if unsuccessful?

Sorry for the long message.

Xx

It can take a couple of weeks for the decision letter to arrive in the post, and it’s completely normal to feel anxious while you wait. If your appeal is unsuccessful, unless there is a point of law that could be challenged further, that would be the end of your appeal, and your award would not change.

If your appeal is unsuccessful and you still believe you are eligible, you could report a change of circumstances or a worsening condition. However, unless you have new evidence that wasn’t previously considered, the outcome is unlikely to change, especially if it was declined at tribunal. It’s also important to remember that if you report a change, they will review your entire award, not just the mobility element.

If you’re unsure why the panel decided as they did, you can request a statement of reasons from the tribunal. This explains exactly how they reached their decision and can be very helpful if you want to understand the outcome or check for any procedural errors.

Try to be kind to yourself while you wait, the process can feel stressful, but you’ve done everything you can at this stage.

You've done everything right so I wouldn't worry too much, it's probably the fault of some DWP Jobsworth that you've had to go to Tribunal in the first place.

Thank you for replying I am very greatful.

I have been so anxious and worried.

I am delighted to day that I have won my appeal.

I received my letter really quick from the Tribunal the Monday 23rd March (my Tribunal hearing was Thursday 19th)

The Judge did say I would hear in a couple of days and I did.

They awarded me an extra 10 points in the moving around section so my mobility was changed to enhanced with 18 points. Back dated from November 2023 which is an extra year to what I originally thought so no wonder I couldn't remember half of what they were asking.

I hope this brings some open to anyone else going through this.

I am honestly so relieved that all this is over and hope I never have to go through this again.

I have ordered my car and hop that I can ook forward to life a little more xx

    Thank you all.

It feels like a massive weight has been lifted.

I think it is so unfair that we have to prove and fight for what we are entitled to.

As if our disability isn't enough.for us to cope with.

I really feel sorry for the people who get turned down and don't know how to appeal the decision.

I understand that they need to distinguish between the genuine people and the ones who aren't entitled but I am yet to see the DWP award someone points from the first application.

Thank you for the kind messages I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my posts xx
