Reform UK would impose 'biggest cuts to benefits bill ever seen in history of this country', Farage says

The problem is that people often assume it won’t affect them. Political parties are very effective at "othering" certain groups, so when they make statements like this, even ones that may directly impact their own voters, many people don’t recognise it. Instead, they assume the consequences will only affect "others".

everyone is going to be affected big time. Whoever thinks not is living in Cuckooland

I humbly apologise but ****?! Just because a few who COULD work choose not to, the right lumps us all as "workshy slaves to the benefit system", load of cobblers! I've been trying for over 30 years to get a job, as soon as I mention anything disability related on the online application form! BOOM! Rejection.

I have not heard it being said that every benefit claimant is going to be affected by Reform if they come to power but inevitably benefit spending is unsustainable and cuts will be made just as they will be under any political party.

It's three years away, so I'm not really bothered. Reform could start hemorrhaging councils by then, in fact they are losing Councillors right now for some reason or another. They'll love the fact that your scared about them now, relax and carry on. They thrive on your fear and the more you put your fears out there about them, the more they will do it.

I’m not bothered either as I don’t think they are going to get into power anyways.
But people should be aware of what they are voting for.
Obv some will just vote for them anyway as long as they can keep their far right ideology going.

At least the scales seem to be tipping in favour of the Greens rather than Reform, lets hope it continues.

we have very good examples of what you are saying in this forum, sadly.

That chart does indeed show the direction of travel, the Greens are up quite a bit over the last month while Reform is down.
Things are starting to shift in favour of the Greens in terms of momentum. Reform are still leading, but the gap is narrowing rather than widening, let's hope this continues.

Sadly, some people are so blinded by their racism/hatred of immigrants, legal or otherwise that they don't see the big picture and will vote Reform regardless.
When they need an NHS Doctor, they'll be the first to start crying real tears.
