Electric Rate Per kWh
Mine has dropped today from 27.07p to 23.57p which is good news.
This will differ around the country,is anyone else making a decent saving on electric?

Mine has dropped by about 2p per unit. But the standing charge has increased by about 8p per day.

My standing charge has stayed the same at 50.20p

was
elect 23.39p + 39.38p per day
gas 5.41p + 27.15p per day
now
elect 21.06p + 41.35p per day
gas 5.36p + 28.51p per dayBecause I am a low user - the amount saved in tariff is made up for in increased standing charges - so it makes absolutely no difference….
I really wish that they would offer a NO STANDING CHARGES tariff.
The BBC is claiming that we will all see a 7% drop in our energy bills - not true - mine will remain the same !

I called them to ask why and the answer was due to all the water developments that have been going on in the north west….
I asked if I can get any support told no!
im waiting to see if I can get anything regards the £100.00 increase will update once I know…… never had that increase in Water in the years since 2010 having an account with them…….just thought id share my experience of recent…..

check out e.org
they don’t have standing charges
standing charges must be abolished imo, you are paying like £25 just to be able to have energy at home.0 -
I'm considered a low energy user for gas and electric and I pay more than I use on standing charges.

OK How much do they charge for gas and electricity per unit ?
Nowhere on their site can I see what rate they charge …. !!
0 -
Sorry - but only £100 per year - is extremely cheap - most people pay at least 5 times this amount……
0 -
i should imagine its an increase of 100 a year not the total amount paid

you have to get a quote and then it will tell you the prices for your area I think.
This is the first company doing so, so hopefully others will follow suit and bring prices down even further as some people are paying more in standing charges than in actual usage which just doesn’t make sense..

e.org can only quote you if you have a prepayment meter.
2 -
No - it only works for prepayment meters !!
No use to me - I pay monthly …. Direct Debit
1 -
You are on a Pre-Payment meter - so they can get away with charging you far higher rates than Standard credit meter.

hi everyone yes it's actually £100 added to my yearly bill already at £480.00 per year so up an extra £100 per year hope that helps still a big increase added the most I've seen added since being a customer
