Just Had A Letter
From the NHS telling me that I have an appointment with radiology at 11.15am "TOMORROW" for an ultrasound scan of my liver! (Loads of notice) for something I wasn't expecting and have no idea why?

Blimey, that's no notice at all! Are you able to make the appointment @onmylonesome? Hopefully just a precaution and you're in and out.

I did have something planned for tomorrow but it will have to wait now!
After a couple of phone calls I have found out that a Dr from Urology has requested it,i had a MRI for kidney stones in October last year (on waiting list to be sorted) so maybe something was picked up on that but the ultrasound tomorrow was only requested on March 24th!
I'll soon find out why and what for but the not knowing why has me feeling a little anxious.

That's understandable - it's great they've managed to get the request turned around quickly (not so great it's only given you a day), but it feels like all the actions have happened before any conversations. I suppose at least you don't have the anxiety of waiting for it to come around this way. Hope it goes ok tomorrow.

Why is it that the NHS never tells you anything till after t' flippin' fact?
Mum's been up at the Northern General since this morning about her legs and there's no sign of them sending her Home yet! Dad's worrying and blowing what's left of his mind (He's 77 and has Dementia) and I'm concerned myself, a routine appointment shouldn't take this long.

Had the scan and a small cyst was found, I was told no treatment needed and nothing to worry about,👍

That's great news @onmylonesome.😁 Must be a big weight off your shoulders and definitely worth cancelling those plans to get it out the way.
