Not sure if this is in the right category but..
I've been getting emails from eBay since last week about paying a £10.57 seller fee for 2 listings I currently have, and I know for a fact neither of them will sell!
However, due to financial problems last year, I'm having to employ a Financial Management company called IDK Money Management, based in Chapeltown, Sheffield.
Yet I got an email from eBay this morning, that if the debt isn't settled imminently, they're going to get a debt collection Agency on to me, and I'm rather worried about this.
If I was to email or ring IDK, would they be able to sort it?

Reddit is blocked in my browser but thanks anyway.

No problem..Sorry this happening to you. But if it's not a lot, I doubt they would send a debt collector.

No because it'd cost 'em a LOT more than the £10 I allegedly owe.

Well when I checked last night, the owed payment is now nearly £39 and I have no way to pay it.

If you don't mind my asking, how did this fee come about? I don't know much about these things, but as an ebay user, I thought all fees came direct from the bank account associated with the ebay account?

The only thing that is likely to happen is your account will be suspended and you won't be allowed to sell on ebay again. They can get a debt collector for it, as debt collectors buy debt at a reduced rate and then persue you for it, however since its not a credit line debt i.e connected to your credit file. They cannot mark your credit file for it or mark a default for it. The only way it can affect your credit in anyway is if they were to get a CCJ (County court judement) against you, but this is seriously unlikely for £30 and in most instances you could argue the matter in court.
But as ebays record goes they never seem to persue people that far and normally just ban the account/write of the debt.
My advice would be to speak to ebay, what are the fee's for exactly and why you are being charged for something especially if the items haven't even sold. You could have an agreement with them that if the item sells you can have their fee money, but until that point you have no money to give.
If they want to persue it (which it won't get that far) then argue your case, and ignore all correspondance from ebay, if it ever gets far enough you could speak to an expert for advice and argue that they mis-sold their seller fee's. But as said before it is very highly unlikely to go this far.

They do but as of nearly a year ago, I have to use a financial management company called IDK Money Management because I got into bad debt buying stuff online such as eBay, and now there's no money in either of my Bank accounts.

For that amount of money ? It would have cost them that amount to send you a letter phone them and tell them you disput it and this kind of tatics causes unessary stress and worry wow sorry shouldnt say this i have hughe outstanding debts try not to worry they should hava asked if you was a vunerable customer and put you through to a team that supports disabled people you could say you can only afford a pound a month

just pay it before it gets worse cut back on something you dont need and pay it

I can't. my current card doesn't work online, buying stuff online was how I got into bad debt in the first place last year so IDK have blocked my card from being used online.

the only way ebay charges is if you use premium listing options, dont pick those if you have no way to pay them. if you are using ebay surely you have a paypal account or something? they will keep adding fees so the longer you leave it the worse it gets. it snowballs and gets worse the more you ignore, so sooner the better or it will get so bad.
you were talking about learning to drive and skydiving, that is very expensive, if you can do those you can settle these little debts, it will make your life much happier and better
i was drowining in debt at one point, i was so miserable, i bought stuff to feel better or feel normal and it made life worse

I've spoke to my Parents, they're going to talk to the Manager here when they come up next week, it wouldn't be appropriate for a debt collector to visit as there are severely mentally and/or physically disabled residents who would get scared and obviously that's not fair on them or the staff.
