Changing GP: Does this action require notification to PIP and Universal Credit
Hello to all Scope Forum members on this Easter Sunday.
Would anyone be able to provide a definitive answer regarding whether there is a requirement for one to notify PIP and UC following a change of GP?
I have read a number of forum discussions, and researched information on this subject via various sources, but have been unable to determine a decisive answer.
Kind regards.

Yes you do have to notify pip if you change your gp,I don’t think it matters with uc though.

You don’t usually need to inform PIP or Universal Credit just for changing your GP. Only report it if it affects your condition, treatment, or how your health needs are assessed.

Yes you do need to tell PIP.
You could be taken to court or have to pay a penalty if you give wrong information or do not report a change straight away.
You must also contact the PIP enquiry line straight away if:
- your personal details change, for example your name, address, phone numbers, bank account or doctor
