GP appointment for AuDhd referrals - what to expect
Hello all,
Tomorrow my GP will be calling me about my request to be referred for ADHD and Autism assessments. I submitted the forms to my GP before Christmas last year so it's taken a long time just to get to this point, (I don't know if that's normal but I know my GP practice is dangerously oversubscribed).
I'd like to know what I'm likely to be asked so I don't mess this up. I have a need to know information in advance so I can properly prepare and get my points across as clearly as possible.
If you have been through this can you tell me what the discussion will involve please?
TIA

Hi @Scrumptious67
I haven't been through the process myself but hopefully some members who have, will be in touch soon and be able to offer some support and let you know what to expect!
I hope it all goes okay though😊1 -
Hi @Scrumptious67 I can't find any standard questions the NHS might ask, but if you give ADHD/autism assessment a google, you'll get an idea of what the assessment covers which might help give you a familiarity.
I've popped a little tag on your post which hopefully will help other members to see this.
