Hi I am about to go through my PIP review form for the first time and looking to see if there is a guide to help me. Is there a walkthrough guide available on here? I thought I saw one with helpful steps and pointers somewhere but I can’t remember where

there should be one on the benefits and work website. You could also go to your local citizens advice for them to help you fill it out. I would book an appointment though as they are very busy. If the appointment is after the deadline for your PiP form to be submitted, ring the PIP number and ask for an extension.

    Hi

When I did mine I googled citizens advice pip assessment guidelines or something to that effect and there was a guide going through it step by step giving examples of what they would advise and I used that.

I expect some more experienced members here will give you advice tommorow

I’m grateful to have some help too from Citizens Advice, they have given me a face to face appointment next week to help me with the review form. Three years ago they were a wonderful help when I first applied for PIP, I had a weekly phone call with them

Citizens Advice are very good and supportive.

I'm pleased you have got an appointment with them.

    Good luck your assessment.

Good luck with your review. I hope yours was as fast as mine. Posted forms off on 25th Feb and had decision letter on 2nd March. Crazy fast, award stayed the same and was given it for 6 years! My friends was done really fast too.

@nikih17 thank-you :) Wow that is fast. And 6 years is wonderful news to receive. If I could have 3 again I’d be really grateful, really helped me these last 3 years. To have 6 years security must be amazing! :)

I agree it is reassuring, but rolls around quickly. I’m sure you’ll be absolutely fine! It’s just an incredibly stressful process isn’t it?

One thing I heard on the news quite recently - do NOT use AI to help you with filling out your claim.

Apparently, DWP are really clamping down on AI as a lot of scammers use it and they are not approving claims AI generated - that has meant some genuine ones have been turned down.

The guide from Benefits and Work is excellent.

@nikih17 it does roll around quickly, these three years have gone really fast. It is incredibly stressful as you say, they make me very uncomfortable DWP

Hi @Catherine21 thank-you. I absolutely write from my heart, I did with my original application for PIP and made a copy of everything I wrote three years ago so that I could remember things when this day came around. There are things I can add to it three years on and a lot remains the same from three years ago and it’s quite painful reading so I haven’t read it since I submitted it three years ago as it was difficult writing and explaining some of these things and how they affect me in my daily life

Don't use an AI generated response, they'll bin it without even looking at it.
