Daughter wants to move back
Hi i migrated from esa to uc and got the protection also on new style uc and pip enchanced on both. Also uc pay my housing
My adult daughter works and wants to move back in how will it effect my benifits please?

Hi @Nicky56 and welcome to the community! It won't affect your PIP. Your housing element will be affected as your daughter will be classed as a nnon-dependant and expected to contribute to rent. There are exceptions to this though. Here's some information about it

@Rachel_Scope Because OP is on Daily Living PIP that prevents a non dependant deduction being made to UC Housing Element.
If your Housing Element goes up due to your bedroom allowance increasing, your Transitional Protection will reduce by a corresponding amount, this is permanent and won't be reinstated if your Daughter subsequently moves out again.
