change in income

hi guys I hope everyone is well. Just had a quick question.

it's in regards for my parents. right so my father is retired and he's on state pension. My mother is currently receiving ESA contribution based she's in the support group.

okay so recently my Nan passed away, it's been a very difficult time, indeed. now my parents are going to inherit some money from the property she lived in. it won't be much because it's being split between other brothers and sisters, but still a substantial amount.

secondly my parents are going to be selling another property which is a small flat, which is their own second home which was on rent. so there will be some more money incoming.

is this a problem for my mother who is on ESA?

because they could be easily seeing triple figures going into account

as far as I know because it's contribution based it should be okay

but I just wanted to doublecheck on here with you guys

thanks in advance.

New Style ESA would generally only be concerned if your mother was getting a personal pension income.

she was receiving a rental income from the same property which she is now selling.

she will get a large transfer into her bank account once it sells

    would her benefit be affected

No as advised New Style ESA are only really interested in any personal pension income.

It's not a means tested benefit so other income or lots in the bank doesn't have any impact.
