I was assessed for ESA got support group told I would not be seen again great news I am 62 and know have to transfer from dla to pip waiting for my face to face I have chronic lung disease crumbling spine heart disease altherjscorsis. Reynard's all documented by specialists so why if ESA accept this why don't pip ???

in a word in answer to your question: bureaucracy.
Perhaps it is to some extent to prevent fraud. But sometimes in my cyniscm it is to delay payments and therefore cut costs or hope that you don’t make an appeal.
On the positive side it is creating jobs at some sawmill to create all that paper and envelopes and keeps the Royal Mail posties busy!0 -

I believe that the ESA assessment is specifically a work capability assessment whereas PIP is more about day to day life. I can understand this must be really frustrating to you though!0
