Hi n31 it can take quite a while to hear back from a first claim. My first one took about six weeks before I heard about a f2f appointment.
You also have to take into account Bank Holidays around Christmas and New Year.My suggestion would be to call after the New Year and find out how long it is taking to process claims in your area.
Others in this forum are more knowledgable than me so may have better ideas.x0 -

Why is taking so long eventhough this is the first time i have ever applied for esa. Also will the other benefits I receive be affected because of delayed response for esa ? Xp

Hi n31
6-8 weeks is not uncommon without the bank holidays interfering
Which other benefits do you receive ?
