                    Someone here said I can get a free NHS Hearing Aid? I live in Whitleigh Plymouth Devon. CAn I get a free hearing test at Derriford Hospital? Neville

            You need a referal from your GP. In my area the NHS audiology service is with Specsavers

 Yes it is free on the NHS
 Doctors don't normally send you to an audiologist, unless they have seen you first.
 So i would advise making an appointment with your doctor.
 When you See the audiologist, they will give you a hearing test.
 If you do need a hearing aid, they will do a mould of your ear on the same day.
 When the hearing aid is made.
 They will also give you a suply of batterys and a case.
 I'm profoundly deaf, but i still went through the process.
 My son is deaf In one ear, and has just recently received his hearing aid.
 Some places will give you a free hearing test, but they will charge you a lot of money for the hearing aid.
