Hello all,
I am new to this site and first time knowing SCOPE even excited today. I live in Ireland.
My daughter age 2 got diagnosed with CP October 2017 and we are getting fitted for her AFO`s next week. I have been trying to source age-appropriate books for her in relation to her AFO`s. I am sure you all know what I mean...children's books she can relate to, books about teddy/little girls needing AFO`s. I have tried a few avenues here and there is nothing appropriate for a 2 year old (2 1/2 lets say). The librarians looked for me, I asked my physio, got on the Central Remedial Centre ( a national centre here for physcial disabilities), phoned two children's hospital and can't get talking to anyone there, googled books but nothing.
Can anyone help or know where I can buy these books or even if there is children's explanatory leaftets anywhere?
Thank you in advance
Caitriona

Hi @Triona1978, welcome to the community!
You might find some of our published storybooks interesting, particularly Celine's New Splints. Haylee's friends also has a brief explanation of splints, but focuses on multiple aids and equipment.
I have moved this over to our parents and carers group to see if some of the other members have some suggestions. I hope this helps!1 -
Thank you very much, I appreciate it0
